hoisting banners into the sky
drawing swords and hatchets
into the thick of it,
we stride, hammering our
taking no prisoners inside;
we rest only when done
eating only when hungry
stealing all we can carry
we are the new breed of
intellectuals who ride the
electronic waves of life
hacking our way through all
barriers that once kept us out
knowing no bounds;
we take what is not ours
and redistribute
not to those who are in need
but to ourselves
we give all, wondering
why we are so free.
