Unnoticed

Everywhere one looks is green
green grass
green bushes
green tree leaves
green flowers
brought about by season showers
and, we only see
our efforts increased

to manicure
reasonable beautification...
what our neighbors might think
or what we think they might think;
our cool morning feels good
after a warm bed
retreating from home warmth
influenced by solar infiltration
passive and amused
by the thoughts of it
and the body's changing climate
compensated electronically

monitored digitally
sustainability for
a proposed longevity that
goes unrecognized each day
while the sun illuminates
that which was not our doing
or justified
by any of our feeble purposes.
