Forever

we are not the center of existence

but many light years away,

contradiction our own beliefs

we journey into the nothingness

of space as if its boundaries will

over us refuge and solace from

the turmoil we have created

by our present existence;

we consume that which we want

we take that which we want

we give back nothing in return

as if it is our forever and ever.
