silenced by old age
determined effortlessly
time leaves us all standing still
watching it pass exponentially
when age equals understanding
of the vulnerabilities
passed onto to by our children
whose manicured thoughts
leave us tantalizingly open to
recording errors as if we were
somehow playing baseball
and confrontation was
the world's series...
nothing exists forever in the
vacuum of space except the
nothingness of energy
that bends and contorts reality
such that the known becomes
unknown and the unknown
becomes life's destiny
bestowed upon those survivors
who had no children at all.
