February 1989 - page 3

1.
I heard a song that
came from the year we began
remembering you.

2.
a rudeness fills the world
in every unsuspecting corner
and we wonder why there
is so much hate and anger.

3.
to her lips she raised
the cup and poured
in its contents...  a
blush covered her face
falling to the
ground unannounced.

4.
It was more than a pleasure
it was something out of a dirty book,
that we only read about,
it was new for both of us
a renewed spirit of adventure,
that we both needed to out the
wrinkles of living together so long.

5.
a divine justice brought
you back to me after death,
released you from a coma
and we could finally piut
an end to everything.

6.
it was a single parent holiday
mothers and fathers gathered
smiling and laughing
at all the anger in their lives
taking a brief rest with
those who share similar concerns
before it all begins again.

7.
it is depressing
but not too so
knowing this will
end soon and we
will be going home.

8.
we held our own for eight days
a makeshift platoon
digging in for war,
we held our own for over
two hundred hours before
we learned the points
for which we were fighting,
we held our own among
our peers with the futility of
our attempts and we held
our for their conversion.

9.
it was not a black
or white issue unless you
want to make it one.

10.
what version do you want
to hear...  fast or slow?
I know what album on which
the slow one is but I'm not
sure of the other...  you still
have that choice to make.
