June 1988 - page 5

1.
she reached over to touch him and
he was there beside her...  but not
the one she loved...  the one she was
with and she thought of him quickly
reminding herself to show him more.

2.
and if she walked away without a word
would he contact her as she had him?
did she love so she could stop?
and if this was a struggle caused by
by attraction, could they ever care?

3.
she brought him flowers on
his birthday and a card that
spoke of love...  he already
knew that he had her heart.

4.
he had wanted to possess her and
limit her happiness to occur with
only him...  she knew there was
more to life than love...  they went
their separate ways and twice a
year she wrote him...  once on his
birthday and once on hers...  she
was the only one to whom his
heart have been given, knowing
from the beginning that happiness
would never ever be his alone.

5.
she need him and he needed her
but neither wanted to show and
when it came time for a friend
neither one of them were there.

6.
she was more than just a woman
over which to cry and even though
she repeated her love for him, he
could not hold back all the tears.

7.
his confidence was given to her to
restore which she did and his gratitude
was given by being her friend...  and,
once they became lovers, they had
something few ever experience and
this upset their sense of balance in
the world and in their individuality.

8.
Sweat ran down between her breasts
on top of him she sat...
guided by his movement...
once she knew he'd been there before
she laid down with him.

9.
you penetrated my event horizon
a free-falling, quantum particle
created from nothingness and
moving into singularity;
you connected my parts,
giving me all the life I needed.

10.
the morning began with questions
once my components began to
discuss my turmoil...  a theoretical
evaluation of my personality.
